Season second directly followed the first season finale. Some new characters are introduced in the season including Alexander Mahone, a federal agent who is designated to track and catch the escapees. The Company continues their plan to locate and eliminate Lincoln Burrows and others who get in their way. At the end of the season, Michael is sent back to prison in Panama and Lincoln is freed from all his crimes. Paul Scheuring linked the second season to the second half of ‘The Great Escape’.
Season 2 was premiered on 8-21-2006 and the opening episode was ‘Manhunt’. Season’s ending episode ‘Sona’ was aired on 4-2-2007.

Bellick is happy about his homecoming to Fox River. Michael and Lincoln may also have a homecoming. Mahone and Kellerman tried everything that they can do make certain that Michael and Lincoln don’t get alive through their road trip. T-Bag closes on Mrs. Hollander.
