Tonight
Bellick has found the hole in the storage room but Westmoreland hits him hard with a shovel which leads to a confrontation between the two in the hole in which Westmoreland is stabbed in stomach with a piece of glass.
In the prison yard, Michael and T-Bag are thinking of ideas to get rid of the dogs that will be let out after them, when they run out. As they are discussing this and also the timing of their escape, Westmoreland appears to inform them that they have to immediately escape the prison.
Everyone is stunned, at the revelation that the hole has been plugged with Bellick in it, and unless they run that very night, as the authorities will now easily know all about the jail break plan, and the consequences will be very harsh.
So, Michael swings into action and dispenses orders to Abruzzi, regarding the plane. C-Note is asked to get some peroxide from the kitchen to scrub the floors and do something about their cell’s smells. He himself takes it upon himself to get the key of Sara’s office and announces that they’ll leave at 7 o’clock, after dinner. Sucre, while on the way back to their cell, reminds Michael that his brother is under round the clock surveillance and they will have to get out of the prison tonight with or without him. Michael acknowledges this and observes David staring from across the way.
Veronica, after getting the information that many calls from Quinn’s mobile were made from the Montana Mansion that was purchased by a trust created up by Steadman’s estate, decides to visit Montana.
During the lunch time, T-Bag is seen collecting unwanted sprouts from all the inmates and some guards are talking about Bellick’s absence. Michael utters just one word in front of a very pale David, “Tonight.”
Vice President, Caroline meets up with the representatives of the Company who are very unhappy that the President is going to sign the energy bill. They remind her that they are her only backup and she should see to it that the bill is not signed.
Michael goes up to the infirmary and tries to convince Dr. Sara to help him break the jail. She is surprised and informs him that she will have to report this to the authorities. He pleads innocence of his brother and a visibly confused Sara leaves the room.
Abruzzi arranges for the plane, but the plane can only seat three people. He also calls up Veronica’s sole ally Nick to bring her at the airstrip at night. He then proceeds to pocket some fertilizer while he is working with it.
David tries to locate Bellick but Westmoreland notices his intentions. Michael is visited by C-Note and shows him the shank he took from T-Bag, with which he intended to kill Abruzzi.
All the escapees in the locker room are asked to put their prison blues on over their PI jumpsuits. They all are unhappy about David going with them, but Michael insists that he owes him a favor. A guard notices the blood of Westmoreland’s wound on the floor and enquires these inmates who are leaving the locker room. Michael quickly cuts his thumb using the shank and shows it to the guard, satisfying his curiosity.
It is Warden Pope’s wedding anniversary tonight. He is tensed but Michael soothes him out. The Warden is very thankful to Michael and asks if he can return the favor somehow.
Michael visits Lincoln in his cell who imparts him with the knowledge he had gained from their father and instructs Michael to escape the prison without him as it is extremely difficult for him to leave the cell.
Dr. Sara has been having a drink at a nearby bar when she hears on the television that her father will be running for the vice presidency in Caroline’s campaign. She runs out of the bar to confront her father, so as to extract details of the conspiracy against Lincoln. Her father admits to her that he had exchanged Lincoln’s death for his vice presidency.
In the prison at that time, T-Bag is spreading sprouts all over his bed; Abruzzi is using fertilizer for the same purpose and Westmoreland is scrubbing his wall. David is informed that his cell mate would be joining him tonight and the guard asks him if he had seen Bellick. David glances at Michael and says he had not. Preparations are on in the escapees cells as they have started bleaching their jumpsuits in the toilet, with the peroxide, C- Note got from the kitchen.
As the guards are carrying out the model of Taj Mahal, its top breaks into half. The Warden freaks out and calls Michael in his office.
An assortment of memories and thoughts is taking place in the prison. Fernando Sucre recalls about Maricruz; Abruzzi thinks back on his short timed improvement; T-Bag remembers the threat he had promised to Susan; C-Note is lost in thoughts of his family; David is tense about his cellmate while bleaching his jumpsuit; Westmoreland is fixing the gash in his side, while thinking about his daughter; for Lincoln, its his failed execution; and Dr. Sara, is flipping several moral issues in her mind.
Warden Pope tells Michael about the model of Taj Mahal, whose top, had fallen down. Michael shows the Warden a small beam, and by saying sorry to the puzzled Warden, he tells him that he had purposely tampered with the model to come back into his office. Then taking out the shank from his pocket he speaks “I’m breaking out. And you’re going to make sure my brother goes with me.”
