Curtains Drawn On Prison Break With The Airing Of “Killing Your Number”!

Welcome back!

Hey friends! So our favorite show Prison Break finally came to an end. The final episode of Season 4 which also served as the series finale was aired on 15th May, 2009. The two hour long special episode marked the end of the conspiracies, the fights for survival and the struggle of a brother trying to prove the innocence of his sibling. I must say that the great show received a befitting ending.

I am sure that none of you must have missed the series finale titled Killing Your Number where we saw Michael and Lincoln taking a final stand for their freedom as they confront Christina and The General, before Christina is killed at the hands of Sara. The brothers are saved from being killed by The General due to the timely intervention of Kellerman, Sucre, and C-Note. After Scylla is handed over to the authorities, everyone starts leading a normal life.

Then the characters were shown living their individual lives, four years ahead into the future and in the final scene we saw all the characters, including Michael and Sara’s son Michael Jr., together at Michael’s grave, who is reveled to have died some time ago. The episode as well as the series ended with everyone walking away.

No one had thought that a show about sibling love which forces one brother to commit various crimes so that he can prove the innocence of his wrongly convicted brother would become such a huge hit among the audiences. But then perhaps Prison Break was liked mainly because it focused on strong family ties and relationships nurtured in love. Personally I feel that during its four season long run, every episode of Prison Break was worth watching.

There were numerous subplots and supporting story arcs, however Prison Break never deviated from the main storyline which remained focused on the struggle of two brothers who set out to correct the wrongs done to them by the government agencies. And towards the end of the series we saw the brothers finally getting justice and being able to lead normal lives. I am surely going to miss Prison Break but I am happy that it ended at a high point and was not dragged on pointlessly.

Prison Break season 4 is the last trick-card!

When Fox Network brought Prison Break Tv Show in 2005, no one was sure how a show, with the premise- a group of prisoners planning their escape-, would go beyond one season. Kudos to the producers and the rest of the team who managed to stretch (spread out, actually) the plotline of the show up-to four successful seasons.

Actually, those people did a marvelous job. When all of us were thinking that Prison Break tv show would not be longer than two seasons, they managed to keep our interest at its peak throughout its run of four seasons. First season of show depicted how they buddies broke the prison, second season brought another prison break and then, they turned the show into a spy drama. Ultimately, now, after realizing that Prison Break doesn’t have anything novel in its magic bag, Fox Network has decided to bid adieu to Prison Break TV show.

Since the last one month, the series has been on a hiatus and breaking this lull is the news of Prison Break’s cancellation. It has been officially announced in US that Prison Break is finally coming to an end. The current fourth season, would serve as the series finale and there will be some more episodes of series, likely to be air in the mid of April, 2009. Most probably, next episodes of Prison Break would start airing from April 17, not sure yet!

Speaking about Prison Break’s cancellation, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly stated “It’s the right move for ‘Prison Break’ and its fans.”. He also added that ending it here would help this strong drama to finish strongly.

Most recent episode of Prison Break was ‘The Sunshine State‘, aired on December 22, 2008 and there’re no more episode of series after that. As of now, the network has announced that series would return with some new episodes but no more details are revealed yet! Let’s see what would be next to watch Prison Break after it was revealed that Michael and Lincoln’s mother is alive.

Prison Break season 4, is it moved out?

Yeah, and get ready to spend your Monday evenings without Prison Break episodes until it returns with the new episodes in January, 2009. Meanwhile, do you have any information regarding the fifth season of show? Well, honestly there is no news about the upcoming season and we hope to catch it in the early months of 2009. Let’s see…..

And, by the way what you to say about the Prison Break season 4 mid season finale ‘The Sunshine State’? The episode was aired on December 22, 2008 and I surely watched it. I liked it too much and must say that it was a mid season finale in true words. Hey… no issues if you missed it! Here, I am going to give you in-depth details of the episode and after reading it, you will feel like you’ve watched ‘The Sunshine State’.

Okay, let’s begin from the beginning of the stuff. We saw Lincoln doing whatever he can to help his brother Michael. Helping him in his war was Gretchen, Self, and Bagwell and they all went to Miami in order to get Scylla back. Later, another buddy who joined them after meeting up with Lincoln was Mahone. On the other hand, Michael awakened at a ranch miles away from civilization and came to face a psychiatrist who tried to conk out him and make him join the company. And, he also discovered that his mother Christina Rose Scofield was still alive and was currently working for the company. Lisa, General’s daughter kidnapped Sara and told her whereabouts of Michael. Later on, Michael escaped with Sara’s help.

Meanwhile, Gretchen had a secret deal with the one who was ready to buy Scylla. Gretchen cheated on the team and Self revealed that she was a prostitute exactly like her mother and grandmother. When things went as she initially planned, she killed the bodyguards of the buyer. Next, she was seen with dead bodies around her. Lincoln talked to his mother without realizing that she’s his mother.

Wow!!! Awesome!!! We finally came to know that Michael and Lincoln’s mother is alive and of course, Michael is still the smartest buddy of the world***

Prison Break Season 4

As we inch closer to the mid-season finale of Prison Break on December 22, am I the only one crying on the inside? Well guys, I have some good news and some bad news. I am not following the clichéd ‘bad news first’ so cheer up, we can always get depressed later. Good news is about casting and I am sure it will warm up the heart of even the most jaded of ‘Prison Break’ fans. Charles Westmoreland, who was left to die mid-escape from Fox River at the end of Season 1, is alive and will be back in the December 15 episode of ‘Prison Break’ portrayed by Muse Watson. He revisits as Michael carries on his quest to unravel the mystery of Scylla. That’s not all; there is another reason to look forward for the Prison Break’ episodes in December. Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Kathleen Quinlan will be joining the series next month in a recurring role of a high-ranking player within the Company.

Done with cheering? Now the other news according to The Hollywood Reporter is that cast and production crew of the ‘Prison Break’ has been informed by the FOX about the possible filming of two more episodes in Prison break season 4 . Before you decide that I am a certified moron, consider the huge catch these two episodes come with. According to The Hollywood Reporter, these two episodes may work out as season’s finale. Mind you guys, it’s their opinion not mine. The logic behind this conjecture is the steadily falling ratings. Besides, ‘Prison Break’ was also not placed on Fox’s midseason schedule, fanning many speculations. Only an ardent fan base has kept ‘Prison Break’ from going burst as its ratings are dismal.

However, these two episodes can also work out to be the non series ending event to be aired later. It could also be extras for DVD. Right now it’s not clear to anyone but I just thought that ‘Prison Break’ fanatic might be interested in knowing.

Action In Panama

Do you know why like Prison Break so much? Because, even as you watch same series each season, it is like watching a completely different drama. Each season has its distinct flavor and its own revamped look. So, no monotony and no boredom. How do you like that buddies? With all other soaps running with same cast and same storyline I am waiting with bated breath for the new season of Prison Break starting September 1, Monday.

Action in panama

When I watched the first season neither I nor any of my friends ever thought that second season would be possible. I am sure even the creators of the show, be it writers or producers, ever thought that show would make it to the fourth season. The single thread running in all seasons which has also contributed hugely to the success of the Prison Break is Dominic Purcell as Lincoln Burrow. Recently I was reading his interview; though he was quite secretive about the coming season he happened to reveal that in this season Lincoln Burrow would find himself in Panama.

One of my friends recently spotted him in Mission Impossible II where he was a playing a minor character. Watch the movie folks and confirm because she has such a huge crush over this fella that I am almost sure that she was hallucinating.

This is about initial episode of season four

You stopped here, I knew it that this tag line will stop you here. This is the right tact to catch a Prison Break fan. Well, I am here to share about the initial episodes of season four. I’ll write just that what I found different and hot about season four. Like the basic story line of Prison Break, Michael broke the prison and absconded and kept on running from The Company. But this time he won’t run away, instead he will attack the company and will take revenge of Sara. Now his full attention will be towards company and we will be able to see his anger and the hard-core action in this season.

prison break season four.jpg

This is pretty exciting for me as I am an action freak and I like such development in the story. As previously, Michael and his companions were helpless, but now writers have given them strength to literally fight against the injustice and not to keep running away from threats. I liked this bold step after all now we can say that yes story is moving.

During the two seasons I was upset with the slow pace of the story. They spent full two seasons in telling about the past stories of characters and their deciding about the idea to break the prison and finally in the end of season two they took this step. I think, all this could have done in the very first season but anyways what is done is done, now I am happy that the drama series is bringing some action and now I am willing to watch the season four. The new characters introduced will also add some spice to the show. Especially I am waiting to see what will James Hiroyuki Lee is gonna bring, I think he will add some fun in the serious moments, as he is gonna play a person who can’t keep his mouth shut when required. The season four is really going to be mind blowing.

The Art of the Deal: season 3 finale

The Art of the Deal was aired on Feb. 18 and was a great episode, really enjoyable which picked up where we last left off. But actually, it was just an episode like so many other episodes, which they aired as a season finale and which resulted in an unsatisfying ending. This felt less like a mid-season cliffhanger and more like the end of the current phase.

Prison Break episodes starcast

On the episode, the focus was on the long awaited hostage exchange between the two brothers and Gretchen for LJ and Sofia in exchange for Whistler.

Michael and Lincoln are chasing Whistler. As a big fan of series, I can say that Whistler is kind of character whose intensions and interests were never made clear. Episode explained a little bit more on him such as what he wants and whose side he’s on.

If the Sona environment felt like a slightly chaotic schoolyard before, by the end of this episode the prison situation changes drastically – and certainly not in a positive manner. Gretchen gives up Sofia and LJ; Michael gives up Whistler. With this episode, I love writers’ understanding as they made a nice Sara reference.

This reference leads to a new sense of purpose for Michael. Yeah, finally got it what’s there in Whistler’s briefcase? His bird book is an important piece to the company which contains a set of coordinates.

T-bag is the one who has got it. These details allow Sona and the inmates to remain tied. For the episode, I’d like to say ‘a good episode, but unsatisfying season finale’.

Shortly, this season finale played out well but was forced to end early. Well, now fans are looking for upcoming season 4 and I think with this season some new characters would be brought in.

Let’s hope that writers will develop a satisfying final arc to bring the concept to some satisfying close.

Sarah Wayne Callies is rejoining Prison Break season 4

Prison Break season 4 is jumping forward and Fox announced that the production of the show will be moving from Dallas to LA. Nick Santora revealed “So we got word on Wednesday that we are officially picked up by the network for season 4.”

Fox has ordered 22 more episodes and fourth season production will relocate to Los Angeles; production had previously been located in Dallas and outside of Chicago.

Its is a serial drama which was premiered on 8-29-2005 on Fox. The show revolves around Lincoln who is accused of murdering VP’s brother; there’s only one person who believes that Lincoln is innocent and he didn’t commit any crime and that person is Michael, Lincoln’s brother.

The story follows them as they both try to escape themselves and other prisoners also. Prison Break is created by Paul T. Scheuring; Matt Olmstead, Dawn Parouse, Neal H. Moritz are working as the executive producers.Oh my gosh! Another surprising news- Sarah Wayne Callies is also coming back for the full season 4 as Dr. Sara Tancredi.

In the 4th episode ‘Good Fences’ of season 3, Sara’s head was decapitated and was placed in a box. That box was sent to Lincoln. Then, how she can be alive? Confused, read some points from the interview with Executive producer Matt Olmstead -Executive producer Matt Olmstead says that Sara’s been alive, although not necessarily well, this whole time:It wasn’t because of the fans that we did that, but it was the combination of the fans’ reactions on the boards and emails, and people we, the writers, know personally would ask about it.

Prison Break starcast series

And that led us all to have conversations internally, about the fact that there were a lot of people out there asking, “Is she really dead?”Now, internally are you planning Season Four as a 22-episode season?

Matt Olmstead: Yes.

Sarah Wayne Callies , the actress will be back, but does that mean Dr. Sara Tancredi be back? Is it really her evil twin? What is this all mean?

Matt Olmstead: No, she’s the real deal. Sara Tancredi is back.

And Sarah is onboard for the entire season?
Olmstead: Yes.

So, get ready to watch Prison Break Season 4 with your favorite sexy Dr. Sara Tancredi.

Season 1 - Sleight of hand- Quotes
  • Quinn: Your proximal and middle phalanxes are broken. Just ice it for 45 minutes, then splint it; that’s what a doctor would tell you to do, so you don’t need to go see one.
  • Michael: We’ll be there by Friday.
    Sucre: Friday?
Michael: Better start making travel arrangements.
Sucre: Maricruz, here I come, baby.
    Abruzzi: Sardinia, here I come.
Lincoln (to Michael): Where are we going?
    Michael: Panama.
    Lincoln: Panama?
Michael: Panama. Darien Gap, south of the canal. No roads, no electricity, no cops. Nothing but white sand beaches and ice cold beer.
  • Hale: I swear to God, it just gets deeper and deeper.
Kellerman: What is that supposed to mean?
Hale: It means if I’d have known that this is how this whole thing was gonna turn out, I would’ve gotten some crap job with the Feds. Push pencils, drink coffee all day long behind a desk. God, that sounds good.
Kellerman: Keep talking like that and I might be forced to put a bullet in your head.
  • Kellerman: You send me a babysitter?
Caroline: This is not the time or the place.
Kellerman: This is the time and the place.
Caroline: Don’t take that tone with me. Remember who you are talking to. I’m the Vice President of this country.
Kellerman: No, actually you’re Caroline Reynolds from Montgomery, Illinois. I know exactly who you are.
  • Bellick (to Abruzzi): Falzone’s envelope is the only reason I come through that fence everyday and is the only reason I’m gonna keep coming through that fence, until I have enough money to buy that house on Lake Gray. I’m thinking of early retirement John, and you’re interfering with that.
  • C-Note: Looks like Darwin wins after all, hey Fish?
  • Lincoln: What’s the right thing to do now, Michael?
  • Abruzzi: I’m going to say something crazy to you.
    Michael: Surprise, surprise.
  • Michael: I did my homework.
  • Michael: If you touch her, I’ll kill you myself.
Philly Falzone: One, that’s an empty threat. You are less than a gnat to me. And two, all you gotta do is give me the address, and we avoid this melodrama altogether.
  • Philly Falzone: This is about money, isn’t it?
Michael: You’re an astute man, Mr. Falzone.
    Abruzzi: What?
Philly: You’re friend here, John, is trying to extort me.
Michael: Not extortion. Insurance. I plan on being out of here one day. And I don’t think my new resume is going to cut it in most places.
    Philly: How much?
    Michael: Two hundred thousand.
    Abruzzi: I’m gonna kill you.
Michael: Quid pro quo. You scratch my back, I scratch yours.
  • Nick: I was in the same spot when I was your age. He was in prison and like your dad, he was innocent.
L.J.: What happened? I mean, you know, at the end.
Nick: What I hope happens here, he got exonerated.
L.J.: What’d they say he did?
Nick: A lot of bad things. They weren’t true and we proved that. Every day, every day was a lost cause, but we kept fighting. I mean, what else you gonna do when you love somebody? You gonna let them go out like that? So you fight. You keep fighting. You never give up. We’re gonna beat this thing, okay?
  • Michael: Nice flowers.
    Sara: Right.
Michael: Do we have an admirer?
    Sara: They’re from my father.
    Michael: Ah. What’s the occasion?
    Sara: It’s my birthday.
    Michael: Today?
    Sara: Um-hum.
    Michael: Happy birthday.
    Sara (unenthusiastic): Thank you.
    Michael: Ok…
    Sara: Huh?
Michael: Nothing. Birthdays aren’t usually a sore subject, that’s all. Unless the celebrant is feeling her age. Which I don’t see how you could be.
Sara: I’m 29 years old, Michael, I’m not… feeling my age. It’s just out of those 29 birthdays my father has managed to see me on precisely… 6 of them. So, I get flowers instead. Flowers that end up dead and in the trash a week later. Sounds bitter, huh?
    Michael: Kind of.
Sara: It’s not a big deal. You are all set, I will see you tomorrow.
Michael: Ok. I’m sorry you feel that way. (pause) About the flowers, I mean.
  • Michael: You threw away your flowers.
Sara: Well, like I said, they don’t last.
    Michael: I don’t think they’re dead yet.
Sara: I don’t like getting attached to things if I know they won’t last.
Michael: Why are you so cynical?
Sara (sighs): Michael I think there’s cynicism and then there’s realism.
Michael: And there’s optimism. Hope. Faith.
Sara: This coming from an 8-toed guy locked away in a penitentiary
    Michael: Toes are overrated.
Sara: Thank you for trying to make me smile. Not today.
    Michael: You never know.
Sara: We’re all set. (Michael leaves, dropping an origami flower on Sara’s desk while her back is turned. She notices it, picks it up and smiles.)
  • Abruzzi: You and I have a lot to talk about, don’t we, Fish? Seems Philly Falzone ran into some problems up in Canada, just because of the information you gave him.
    Michael: What kind of trouble?
Abruzzi: International gun charges, parole violation. He’s gonna go away for a long time.
Michael: How do you feel about that?
    Abruzzi (smiles): Pretty damn good!
  • Nick: You can’t hide 5 hundred million dollars just by moving a few decimal points. (looks at TV)
TV reporter: In a move anticipated by many pundits, Vice President Reynolds announced she is running for the presidency. She made the announcement from her hometown of Montgomery, Illinois.
Reynolds (on TV): The move towards worldwide peace and prosperity is a marathon, not a sprint. But I assure you, America will be setting the pace.
Veronica: A half a billion dollars doesn’t just disappear. You… you could run a small country with that.
TV reporter: The vice president is reported to have the largest campaign war chest in history. It is so large in fact that prognosticators are already casting her as the favorite in the presidential race.
Nick: Maybe not a small country. Maybe this one.
  • Lincoln: What you’re telling me is…if I’m to live…
Michael: …a good man has to die.
  • C-Note (puts rocks from the hole in the guard’s room on the table): Now we got a hell of a lot to talk about, don’t we?
Michael (wipes rocks away): I got nothin’ to say.
C-Note: Now, you think you can play me, snowflake? ‘Cause you got college? Big school learnin’, huh. Well let me school you. Darwin wins inside these walls. Not Einstein. Darwin.
Pattterson: Yard time’s over, ladies! Let’s line it up!
C-Note: I’m not done with you, Fish.
Michael: You never even got started.
  • Lincoln: Give him up.
Michael: If I do they’ll kill him.
    Lincoln: Maybe he deserves it.
Michael: That’s just it. He doesn’t.
Lincoln: Who is this guy? You told me he was mafia.
Michael: He was working for the mafia, he just didn’t know it. Otto Fibonacci is…he’s just like you. An innocent man, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  • Abruzzi: You see, this is not a me vs. you thing anymore. This is us, an us thing alright? It’s us for the escape.
Michael: Is it? Or is this about you getting back in good with the mob again?
  • C-Note (to Michael in the St. Louis building): Concrete is my specialty. Can you dig it?
  • Kellerman (to the Vice-President, about Quinn): You woke a sleeping beast when you called these guys in. They have a bigger agenda than any of us and they get real nasty, real quick if things don’t go their way.
Lincoln Burrows Picture 23

Michael Scofield: They didn’t even let her testify.
Lincoln Burrows: Who?
Michael Scofield: Leticia Berris, and that cop changed his story a dozen times.
Lincoln Burrows: What part of ‘move on’ don’t you get?
Michael Scofield: After Mom died, when it was just you and me, I remember having trouble sleeping, never knowing where you were, but when I’d wake up in the morning there’d be this paper bird, an origami crane, sitting next to my bed and I never knew what it meant exactly, but I figured it was your way of letting me know you were checking in on me. Anyway… I looked it up, the crane, stands for familial obligation; watching out for your own. Maybe it’s my turn to watch out for you.
